WHAT IS A  GLORRRG?

During my pregnancy, we had names for the growing embryo.

The first trimester name was The Kraken, from the Tennyson poem.

The second trimester name was The Glorrrg.

Glorrrg stuck until he was born and we chose Devlin Toliver Travis.

What is a Glorrrg to me?

I picture a small swamp creature that hides in the foliage to lure out wandering maidens. They capture them and cast a spell so the maidens fall completely in love with them, forgetting all from their previous life. The maidens hold the glorrrgs, comforting them and catering to their every whim, unconditionally, for decades, without question, until at last the maiden whither away from old age…and the Glorrrg seeks a new maiden to care for them…
